| Solar Energy: Specifies limited period each year through 2010, designated Energy Efficient Week, during which sale of energy-efficient products for noncommercial or personal use is exempt from sales tax; provides limitation; prohibits purchase of products by certain payment methods; provides that certain purchases or attempts to purchase are unfair methods of competition & punishable as such; authorizes DOR to adopt rules; authorizes only one rebate per installation of certain solar energy systems; provides preapproved rebates for installation of certain solar energy systems; requires FPSC to adopt rules; requires DEP to develop preapproval processes, establish & publicize an information hotline, & create certain promotional materials; provides appropriations. | ||

Contact your legislator and ask them to support an increase for the solar water heater rebate from $500 to $1000.00. Also ask them to ensure more marketing is done to inform the public of the solar energy rebate program.
