Water Management Districts authorized millage rate
Our Position: oppose
Bill Number: SB2484/HB7207
Sponsor: Senator Carey Baker & Representative Stan Mayfield
Legislative Session: 2006
5/5/06: Bill did not pass.
The potential problem with this legislation is that it appears to CAP what all Water Management Districts are permitted to raise. One thing this could do is prevent the North Florida Water Management District from ever raising enough money to implement the Environmental Resource Permit. The verdict is still out until we analyze this further.
