Florida Climate Action Partnership/Global Warming; creates Florida Climate Action Partnership for purpose of developing plan & making policy recommendations addressing global warming; provides for membership; provides for meetings & reimbursement for per diem & travel expenses; directs that partnership be staffed by Executive Office of Governor; requires interim recommendations & report; provides for expiration of partnership. APPROPRIATION: $500,000. EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon becoming law.

5/4/07: Both bills died on their respective floor calendar. 4/28/07: House and Senate bills on their respective floor calendar. 4/21/07: The HOUSE PCB finally gets a bill number, HB7185. This bill will now be in House Policy and Budget as early as MONDAY AM, 4/23/07. The Senate companion, SB2446 is now in General Government Appropriations, 04/24/07, 8:15 am.
4/14/07: SB2446 now in General Government Appropriations. House PCB not moving. 3/9/07: he House Environmental Preservation Committee voted to send the proposed committee bill to the Environment and Natural Resources Council, where it will be discussed and voted on and then given a bill number. As of 3/31/07 it has not been agendad yet. The Senate version has not been assigned to committees at this time.

Background
3/9/07: This legislation would create another Council and some members are questionning the need for this when last years SB888 create the Florida Energy Commission. Here is an upcoming meeting of the Commission: http://www.floridaenergycommission.gov:80/
