Hike the Upper Little Manatee River Nature Preserve

Explore the 3,400-acre Upper Little Manatee River Nature Preserve near Wimauma on a 3-hour hike. A guidebook notes: "This is one of the few places in the area where one can see pine flatwoods with an open, wiregrass understory, the way it used to look all over the State." The Preserve is located several miles east of Little Manatee River State Park.
