The Global Water Crisis: Solutions From Tampa Bay11/4/2009How can Tampa Bay citizens, businesses, community groups and leaders prepare for a pending global water crisis? This will be the topic of a forum set for Weds. Nov. 4, at the University of South Florida Tampa campus. The discussion will focus on the theory that with increased global warming, major conflicts over water will increase in number and escalate in scale. Are you ready for the battle?Keynote speaker will be Dr. Noel Brown, President & CEO, Friends of the United Nations and former director of the United Nations Environment Programme for the U.N. Headquarters & North America. Panelists include Mary Mulhern, Tampa City Council; Karl Nurse, St. Petersburg City Council; Phil Compton, Sierra Club; Dr. David Randle, Managing Director, Waves of Change; Dr. Frank Muller-Karger, Director IOI USA.
