Pinellas Trail Morning bike ride 2-22-09

On Sunday February 22nd, Ben led 14 of us on a 19 mile round trip bike ride from Palm Harbor to the Tarpon Springs Sponge docks. This is always a wonderful and popular outing and we had quite a few participants from the Manatee-Sarasota area and the Tampa area who joined our group of regulars for this outing.

The day was sunny with a brisk cool breeze that kept most of us in long sleeves during the entire outing. It also made for a very comfortable ride temperature wise. We enjoyed the trip up to the sponge docks and then lunched at Hella’s-always great authentic greek cuisine.

On our return trip we stopped at Wall Springs State Park to take in the springs and the look-out tower. Another great outing Ben!

Great meeting new people and hearing about possible destinations in our neighboring part of the state.
