An Evening with Dr. Randy Runnels, Florida Aquatic Preserve Manager

The coast of China is a biodiversity hotspot of global significance. Loss of habitat and degradation of ecosystem function in the region has occured at an alarming rate. In April, Dr. Randy Runnels traveled to China at the invitation of the State Oceanic Administration. The visit was intended to bring outside experience into the South China Coastal Biodiversity Project.
From Beijinig to conservation areas in South China to Xiamen, the trip was mutually educational and culturally enlightening. Dr. Runnels will share some of his environmental and cultural experiences from this trip.
