A homeowner previously uninvolved in environmental issues Sharon becomes a champion of her community and the wildlife haven next door. The county school board had plans to destroy the rolling refuge and its rare waterfall with a depot for 300 diesel buses. Despite the seeming hopelessness of her cause, she rallied the local community, attracted positive media coverage, and enlisted the help of environmental organizations to save this little piece of paradise off McMullen Booth Road. Think you "can't"- just ask Sharon how to be an "I CAN" champion of Mother Earth.
