Let your voice be heard. Send an email to Manatee Commission Chair Jane von Hahmann at jane.vonhahmann@mymanatee.org. Tell her not to approve any more phosphate mining and to vote “no”on rezoning the Altman Tract. Protect southwest Florida’s water supply!
Don’t let Mosaic use any of our water for mining—we’re on restrictions, why aren’t they? Uphold the county staff and planning commission recommendation to deny this permit! We need an environmental impact study of the Altman Tract and any new area proposed for mining!
