Looking for something different? This may be it. We'll paddle upstream into a ever-narrowing fresh water jungle. Then back downstream out into a grassy maze of brackish water channels where Myrtle Creek meets tidal lower Shell Creek. Cruise to the only waterfall in the area, actually coiming over the Punta Gorda Dam, the City's water supply. Your guides will be Jim Story and Rick Fried, both certified Florida Master Naturalists. 9AM to 2PM. Participants must provide their own watercraft and be able to swim. This outing is free to the public, but voluntary donations to the Charlotte Sierra Club are always gratefully appreciated!
