Looking for something different? This may be it. Depending on the tide, we will paddle upstream into a ever-nrrowing fresh water jungle. Then back downstream to a grassy maze of brackish water channels where the Myrtle Creek meets tidal lower Shell Creek. Cruise to the only waterfall in the area, actually coming over the wide Punta Gorda Dam, the City's water supply. Your guides are Jim Story and Rick Fried, both certified master Naturalists. 9AM to 2PM. Participants must provide their own watercraft and be able to swim. This outing is free to the public, but voluntary donations to the Charlotte Sierra Club are always gratefully appreciated!
