Shell Creek is one of Charlotte County's gems. It's a beautiful creek that winds its way through hardwood trees into cypress forests, with wildlife at every turn. We will be doing the longer route this time, going up into the shallows and into the cypress knee forest. Bring your camera for this one! Our guide, Rick Fried is a certified Master Naturalist who lives on Shell Creek and can answer all your questions about the plants and wildlife alogn the creek. 9AM to 1PM. Participants must provide their own watercraft and be able to swim. This outing is open to the public. Voluntary donations to the Sierra Club are always gratefully appreciated.
