Looking for something different? This may be it. We will paddle upstream to an ever-narrowing freshwater jungle. Then back downstream and out into a green maze of of brackish water channels where it meets tidal lower shell creek. Cruise to the only waterfall in this area, actually caused by the Punta Gorda Dam, the City's water supply. Your guides are Rick Fried and Jim Story, both certified Florida Master Naturalists. 9AM to 2PM. Participants must provide their own watercraft and be able to swim. This outing is free to the public, but voluntary donations to the Charlotte Sierra Club are always gratefully appreciated!
