This is a recently opened-up canoe trail, and outings leader Rick Fried was instrumental in creating it. We will put in Charlotte Harbor and follow Myrtle creek up into hardwood-cypress forests, then venture to Shell Creek Dam and back. If it sounds like a tour through several Florida ecozones, it is. Participants must provide their own watercraft and be able to swim. This outing is open to the public. Voluntary donations to the Sierra Club are always gratefully accepted.
