| Description:
|
Wildflower Preserve is a unique project that is being watched by other communities. It's a successful example of how a former golf course is being restored to its former wild state by the Lemon Bay Conservancy. This hike will be led by biologist Bill Dunson, who is a major advisor to the Wildflower project. We will meet at Wildflower Park, then walk to hook up with adjacent Amberjack Preserve, about 3 hours. 9AM to 11:30AM. We will need volunteer drivers to shuttle Participants back to their cars. You must be in good shape to do this hike. Bill will lead us at a casual pace, stopping occasionally to identify plants and species. Bring drinking water and wear a shady hat. Reserve with Allain, (941) 423-2713.
