Explore the beach at Mickler's Landing Beach Park on a weekday with more shells and fewer people. This beach boasts orange sand and lots of big shells, very different from Jacksonville and Atlantic Beaches. We will walk north 2-3 hours total. While you are in the area, there are pretty sights along Mickler's Road (west), and we may find a fast food stop. There are bathrooms, but no shade, so be prepared. No dogs or children under 8. Mickler's Landing Beach Park is about 7.5 miles south of Butler Blvd. on A1A. Turn east at the light at Mickler Road. We will meet in the parking lot.
