Linda Bremer, Champion for the Environment

4, 2006

At the Florida Coastal School of Law's Environmental Summit on November 4, the Congressman Charles Bennett Champion for the Envirnoment Award was presented to our own Linda Bremer, the Northeast Florida Group's conservation chair.

The award was given: "In appreciation and recognition of your decades of work and dedication to the protection and presevation of the lands and waters of northeast Florida and your tireless, quiet, effective advocacy to preserve our natural resources for future generations of humans and wildlife."

Later, during a seminar following the presentation, with her new license, Linda stood up to call for the city to undertake to preserve the Pottsburg-Julington Creeks Headwaters Forest from expansion of the Freedom Commerce Centre.

Go get 'em, Linda!

... and currently in 2009, Linda serves on the Florida Chapter Steering Committee.
