Hike Camp Milton Historic Preserve

Aug 11, 2012
9:00 a.m.

Join us on Sierra Club’s first “2nd Saturdays Outing” as part of the City of Jacksonville People + Parks Connection.

We’ll hike Camp Milton’s meandering nature trails and boardwalk; we’ll visit the Civil War earthworks. Over 50 “historical” trees have been planted in the park, each with a story. Come to enjoy the park’s interpretive/educational center and observe an authentic farmhouse being restored to the site.  Bring water, sun screen, bug spray, a hat and a snack if you like. Pets on leash are allowed outside.

This historic preserve is part of the Timucuan Trail State & National Parks partnership, and was acquired by Preservation Project Jacksonville.
