Hike in Crooked River State Park

We’re crossing the border for this brisk early morning hike:  a set of self-guided nature hikes through 3 separate ecosystems providing opportunities to see lots of forest and marshland wildlife.  Total hike is about 6 miles.
Gates open at 7 AM.  We’ll meet at the Nature Center at 8:00; be on the trail by 8:15.
Bring water, lunch, snacks, hat, sunscreen, bug spray. No pets.
You must RSVP on Meetup or to Outing Leader Sharon Sugden at sharonsugden@att.net.
Fees: $5 Honor Box/Visitor Center (exact change)

NEAR: St. Marys, Georgia

Directions: From the intersection of 9A/I-295 and I-95. Take I-95 north about 21 miles into Georgia.  Turn RIGHT on  EXIT 1/St Marys Road (4.3 m).  LEFT on Colerain Rd (0.9 m).  RIGHT on Kings Bay Road (1.2 m). LEFT on GA-40 Spur/Charlie Smith Sr. Hwy (3.8 m). Park entrance is on the RIGHT.  Continue to Visitor Center to Pay Fee. THEN, continue to Nature Center parking lot, about ¼ mile on RIGHT.
