John Muir’s Birthday Hike in Guana

Details:

We’ll celebrate John Muir’s birthday with a leisurely hike of about 4 miles. Please bring your favorite quotation or journal entry of John Muir, and we’ll read them aloud periodically as we stop and admire vistas of river, marsh, and forest. Please meet at the trailhead for the Guana trails, about 200 yards beyond the dam. Bring lunch, water, sun tan lotion, and insect repellent. Children welcome. No pets please. There is a $3 entrance fee to Guana if you don’t have a pass.

Directions:

NEAR: Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

505 Guana River Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, on the west side of A1A approximately 17 miles south of Butler Boulevard. The entrance is just north of the Gate service station on A1A.
