Meeting
Jacksonville Monthly Program - Forging Connections with Working Families

When:

Mar 12, 2012
6:30 p.m.

Details:

The Blue-Green Alliance is a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations working together to expand the number and quality of jobs in the green economy. Started by the Sierra Club and the United Steelworkers, the Alliance believes that both unions and environmentalists have a stake in building the new, green economy, and together they can transform it through renewable energy, energy efficiency, and green chemistry - potentially creating millions of jobs and moving America toward energy independence.

Jason Brady, Regional Field Organizer for The Blue-Green Alliance, will discuss why workers’ issues and environmental matters are important to one another and how to strengthen and expand this partnership in Florida.

Social time 6:30- 7:00. Program begins at 7:00.  Light refreshments provided.  Bring your own cup.
