To get to the trailhead take I-10 West and exit at # 343, Baldwin/Starke. Then go north on U.S. 301 until you dead-end at U.S. 90 which is also called Beaver Street. Turn right on 90 and go about one half mile until you see U.S. 301 again. Turn left onto 301 and go 5.4 miles until you see a sign over the road that says C.R. 119. Do not turn here but keep going until you see an intersection saying C.R. 119. Go straight through the intersection and look for a sign on the right that says either “Cary State Forest” or “Forest Service”. This is Pavilion Road. Turn right on this road and park in the parking area near a kiosk. Meet at the kiosk at 10:00 a.m.
