Jacksonville General Meeting

Jan 9, 2012
Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Why is wilderness important and why should preserving Utah’s Red Rock Wilderness concern us in Florida? Jackie Feinberg of the Utah Wilderness Alliance will answer these questions as she shares with us a mutimedia slide show highlighting this 1.4 million acre area of sweeping plateaus, unique geological formations and 10,000 year old archeological sites that surround Canyonlands National Park. See www.suwa.org.
These lands, currently protected by the Wilderness Act of 1964, are now threatened by proposed strip mining and off road vehicle tracks. Come for the visual feast. Leave with some action steps that you can take to preserve our vanishing wilderness.
Social Time begins at 6:30; the program begins at 7:00. Bring your own cup.
