Outing
New Smyrna Beach Tour

Details:

There is a limit of 24 people for this event.  
First, visit Smyrna Dunes Park where waters from the Indian River flow through Ponce Inlet and into the Atlantic Ocean, providing a unique opportunity to view five ecosystems (ocean, river, dunes, scrub zone, saltwater marsh).  
We will walk along the 1.5 mile boardwalk with side trips to the intercoastal waterway and the ocean. 
Then, we will drive 9 miles south and take a cruise with Turtle Mound River Tours.  http://www.turtlemoundrivertours.com/  The 2 hour cruise will be $17.00 each if there are ten people and less if there are more.  
Bring lunch and drinks.

Directions:

First stop:  Smyrna Dunes Park (2995 North Peninsula Drive, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168 - 386-424-2935)  It's about a 95 minute drive from Jacksonville.
Admission to the park is $5.00 per vehicle.
The group will carpool to the next stop together.
