General Meeting, Jacksonville: Timucuan Ecological Historic Preserve

When:

Apr 11, 2011
Monday 7:00

Details:

During “Earth Month” we will celebrate wild places- increasingly under attack by “a thousand cuts” but crucial for people to recharge and imperative for animals to survive. We will experience wild places both far and near. Wildlands Network is highlighting needed wildlife corridors up the east coast by one man and a bike and paddle. John Davis is biking, hiking and paddling up the coast to identify wildlife corridors needed for the survival of large animals and their habitat. You can follow his journey on www.wildlandsnetwork.org We will hear from Craig Morris, district ranger for the Timucuan Ecological Historic Preserve. Craig will speak about this National Park in our own back yard, and why he feels it is Jacksonville’s most spectacular multi-ecosystem. Come experience wildlands and bring your own cup to reduce waste in the landfill. Social time 6:30- 7:00. Program begins at 7:00
