Hiking Pumpkin Hill Creek State Park

Mar 26, 2011
Saturday 10:00 a.m.

As part of a statewide celebration of Florida’s natural treasures and outdoor recreation opportunities provided by 20 years of state land conservation, the Sierra Club, Florida Forever (the land acquisition program of the State of Florida), North Florida Land Trust, and the North Florida Trailblazers Chapter of the Florida Trails Association, are hosting hikes in this special park which protects one of the largest contiguous areas of coastal uplands remaining in Duval County.

You can choose from any one of 4 wonderful hikes. Start with a walk and talk by Park Rangers on natural communities and information on restoration projects such as depression marsh restoration and burn programs. Afterwards, talk with your hosts to find out about some of the other areas where you can bike, kayak and enjoy a picnic lunch by the water’s edge.

RSVP on Meetup or contact Shelly. Assistant leader, Judy Hankins
