Meeting
General Program, Jacksonville: The Florida Aquifer

When:

Feb 14, 2011
Monday 7:00 p.m.

Details:

February is the month of love, and Sierra Club loves and misses the late Wes Skiles, an underwater photographer, documentarian, and educator. Wes dove into some of the most dangerous but beautiful waters to show us the importance and fragility of water systems. We will watch his film The River Returns, a documentary showing the Floridan Aquifer,  the source for all of our state’s fresh water- from a diver’s point of view. Come dive into his world and enjoy what most of us will never see first hand but will quickly understand -how crucial our fresh water source is, to be used with care.

Quick Snack and Social time 6:45-7:00  -  Program starts at 7:00

Please bring your own cup to toast Wes Skiles and reduce waste in the landfill.
