Kingsley Plantation Kayak Trip with Kayak Amelia

Nov 13, 2010
Saturday 11:45a.m.

We'll join a guide from Kayak Amelia to kayak up the Ft. George River in the beautiful salt marsh to Kingsley Plantation where we'll relax on the lawn or walk around the grounds and learn the history of the Kingsley family.  No experience necessary!  Kayak Amelia will provide kayaks, all safety equipment, and kayak instructions.  You can select a single kayak or tandem (2-person) kayak.

Our paddle should be complete by around 3:00 p.m.  Price is a special Sierra Club rate of $55 per person.  If you bring your own kayak, price is $35.  The tour is limited to the first 20 people who sign up, so make your reservations as soon as possible!  Call Kayak Amelia at 904-251-0016.  Be sure to mention that you are with the Sierra Club to get the discount.

After making your reservations with Kayak Amelia, RSVP on Meetup or to Outing Leader Bill Armstrong at armsfam@yahoo.com.  Bring water, snack, sunscreen, and clothing to fit the weather.  Wear light sandals or water shoes that you don't mind getting wet.

See the Kayak Amelia web site for detailed info on cancellations, advice on taking children, and other policies at http://www.kayakamelia.com.
