General Program, Ponte Vedra: Sea Turtle Nesting

Details:

Catherine Eastman will present a program about Sea Turtles and show a video on “Sea Turtle Nesting Behavior”.  Catherine is the Permit Holder for and President of the volunteer Marine Turtle Patrol in Vilano Beach.  There will be a short discussion about local marine turtle conservation efforts followed by the video.

While the sea turtle nesting season is from May 1st through October 31st, there is more activity during the summer months, and the Marine Turtle Patrol is busy trying to protect the habitat of the sea turtles from various hazards.  You can learn more about the Vilano Marine Turtle Patrol at their web site:  www.vilanoseaturtle.org

Everyone is welcome.  Snacks will be provided, but please bring your own drink.
