Nature Cruise - Cumberland Sound

Join a 1.5 hour nature cruise along Amelia Island’s shoreline to Cumberland Sound and around Cumberland Island’s southern tip. The boat, which is covered, goes into the marsh area where wildlife and horses may be viewed.

The tour departs from the Fernandina Harbor Marina in downtown Fernandina Beach. Free parking is available in the area. Plan to arrive about 2 p.m. to park and purchase tickets. A block of tickets is being reserved for the Sierra Club, but you must make your own reservation with the tour company (904-261-9972) by Tuesday, June 8.  www.ameliarivercruises.com

Ticket prices: adults, $23: seniors, $21; children, $17. ($1 off coupon online or AAA discount.) Please RSVP on Meetup or email tour leader June at  to let her know you are coming and if you want to carpool.

We may dine on our own after the cruise. Please bring water, snacks, hats and sunscreen. Children welcome. Tour may be cancelled in event of severe weather; call tour office if questions.
