Hiking in Julington/Durbin Creek Preserve

When:

Apr 7, 2010
Wednesday 10:30 a.m.

Details:

Let's take a weekday hike into the Julington/Durbin Creek Preserve. This is a 4 to 6 mile hike depending on everyone's stamina. The area is located on a peninsula formed at the confluence of Julington and Durbin  Creeks. Wildlife viewing includes bald eagle, osprey, gopher tortoise, bobcat, turkey, deer and numerous species of wading and songbirds. The preserve isn't as lush as some, but there is a lovely treat at the end.

Directions:

Careful, it's easy to miss the entrance. Go south on Bartram Park Blvd. from Old St. Augustine Road and after about .7 of a mile you will see a very simple opening on the right. Drive in and park.

The address is 13130 Bartram Park Blvd.
