Hike at Fort Clinch State Park

Details:

Enjoy maritime hammocks, large Spanish moss-draped live oaks, coastal grasslands and wildlife on this lush tree-canopied trail. We will meet at the Visitor's Center and hike for about two hours. Feel free to visit the fort afterwards and learn about its history.  Entance fee for cars are $6.00.

Directions:

From  I–95 take the Fernandina Beach/Callahan exit (Milepost Exit 373 - Old Exit 129), and head east on A1A. (This road becomes 8th Street within the town limits of Fernandina.) Stay on this road, (A1A), for 16 miles until you come to the intersection of 8th Street and Atlantic Avenue. Turn right on Atlantic Avenue and go about two miles, Fort Clinch State Park will be on the left.

Go to Meetup to arrange carpools in your area or meet at Tinseltown (Mercantile Bank) at 8:45 am
