General Program, Jacksonville: Non-Lawns & Mocama art contest
When:
Nov 9, 2009

Details:
Ginny Stibolt, author of "Sustainable Gardening for Florida" and member of The Lawn Reform Coalition, will speak to us on "non-lawns" and how to manage lawns more sustainably to stop waste and ensure healthier water bodies near our homes.
We will also hear from Warren Anderson, of the Public Trust Environmental Legal Institute. He will tell us about an art contest designed to update the true depiction of the Timucua-Mocama Indians.
So get out your shovels and paint brushes and prepare to get your creative juices flowing to change your green space and change your traditional view of our previous inhabitants.
