Outing
Gleaning for the hungry

When:

Jun 27, 2009
Saturday

Details:

This event has been cancelled due to crop damage from the recent rains; people are still hungry - please donate to your local food bank!

Gleaning is the process of gathering vegetables which have not been gathered by mechanical harvesters from farms which permit gleaning. Vegetables gathered by gleaning will be delivered to hunger relief agencies in our area.

Contact the gleaning coordinator, Brian Paradise, for future gleaning events in the fall & winter.  A release form is required for execution in favor of the farmer who is providing the farm for gleaning.
