Outing St Augustine Behind the Scenes
When:
May 30, 2009
Saturday 11:30
Details:
We will join the Citizens for the Preservation of St. Augustine for a two-hour trolley tour of the hidden treasures of St. Augustine - past plantations that have become modern subdivisions, "streetcar suburbs" from a century ago, the last remains of Henry Flagler's demolished mansion, the homes of famous authors like Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings and Zora Neale Hurston, historic sites of the civil rights movement, and a sampling of several centuries of architecture.
The charge is $10.00 to benefit CPSA. David Nolan, award winning historian, will be our guide.
Please note that this outing is already full. However well try and re-schedule another similar outing in view of the interest. RSVP via Meetup or contact Shelly
