Great opportunity to explore Pumpkin Hill and to support our pals at the North Florida Land Trust. Gather friends and family to visit this unique natural area, where you can walk, hike, kayak, bicycle ride and even bring your horses. The North Florida Land Trust will provide an area guide, showcasing all the different city, state and federal park areas which you can explore. Sierra Club will demonstrate kayaking and the Inner City Outings kids will attend. Park Service Specialists will give interpretive talks at the north end of Pumpkin Hill Road. North Florida Land Trust will give tours of two properties, over 80 acres, that they have Right of First Refusal letters recorded on. Volunteers and the landowners will be available to answer questions, share a few historic stories and describe why they want to preserve their lands. Between 3-6 pm, please join us at Bugtussle, 5400 Cedar Point Road for a Fish Fry sponsored by the Rotary Club of North Jacksonville. Tickets for the Fish Fry are $10 adult, $5 children under age 10; tickets can be purchased before March 28th by calling 827-9870 or online. All proceeds will be donated to the North Florida Land Trust. Call for more details 827-9870.
