Meeting
General Program, Jacksonville: Invasive Plants

When:

Feb 9, 2009
7pm - 9pm

Details:

Jackie Simms, from our own Sierra Club Northeast Group, will educate us on Invasive Plants in our area. invasive pepperThis topic is important because invasives not only crowd out native ones that are beneficial to the wildlife in our area, but in many cases take up more water than natives from our dwindling water resources.

Come hear Jackie and meet some beautiful but undesirable neighbors in your community. For a preview of natives and invasives visit: http://plants.ifas.ufl.edu/parks/northeast_region.html

Our meeting, as are all of our meetings, is open to all. Please remember to bring your own cup to reduce waste in the landfill.
