Seaside celebration - Atlantic Beach - "Almost Full May Moon"

May 17, 2008
6:00-10 pm

Walk, bike or swim and then enjoy a campfire and listen to the musical talents and storytelling skills of fellow Sierrans.  Bring a picnic of drinks & food for your dinner or snack.  We'll have a campfire (roast hot dogs or make s'mores if you like).  Also bring chairs, musical instruments, songs, stories, a couple of pieces of wood as a fire offering and a towel & swimming togs if you like.  We'll be under a nearly full moon.  Come join in the talk and sing-along, or just walk the beach with some Sierra Club friends!

Also please bring a couple of bucks to help defray the cost of the beach fire permit.  There is no need to make reservations.

NEAR: Atlantic Beach

Meet seaside at Atlantic Beach, adjacent to the 18th Street access to the beach.  From Atlantic Blvd., go north on Seminole Rd. (east of Penman); follow Seminole to 18th St., turn right (east) and go to the end-zone, or if we're overflowing that parking area, find another nearby, but legal, spot.  One can also get to 18th by following Ocean Blvd. north out of AB/NB Town Center to Seminole Rd., then turn right and right again on 18th.
