Nassau County Group

Explore, enjoy and protect the planet

Who We Are

The Sierra Club's members are 700,000 of your friends and neighbors. Inspired by nature, we work together to protect our communities and the planet. The Club is America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization.

The Nassau County Group was founded in 1991 from a former part of the Northeast Florida Group.

You are welcome to join us at our first-Wednesday-of-the-month general meetings. Meetings are held at the Fernandina Beach Council On Aging, 1367 S. 18th St, just south of and across the street from the entrance to the hospital. For more information, call our message center at 904-261-7539. You may also write to us at P.O. Box 38, Fernandina Beach, FL 32035, or email Joan Altman.

Sketches on these pages and our local logo on the "Committees" page are by Eileen Harragin.  Eileen is an active local Sierran years ago. An artist, musician and general creative and kind person, she now spends much time traveling to see her children.
