SCHEDULED MEETINGS

INTRODUCTION: We think it beneficial for citizens to have an agenda for regular meetings of the City and County Commissions, along with certain other Board meetings, all in one place. We include the regular meetings of Nassau County Sierra Club (NCSC) and Concerned Friends of Fernandina (CFOF), and other groups. We hope this will encourage members of the community to attend these meetings, watch our local government in action, and let our voices be heard.

Many Board meetings, in particular, pass really important potential legislation with no citizens present to comment, hearing information only from parties that will benefit from the particular policy change.

We also hope that pegging these meetings will spotlight how often many of them get shifted around from their publicly announced times.
