In January of this year, at a meeting of the Engineers Club of Sun City, Arizona, A.P.S. ( the local power company) gave a presentation in which they explained their plans to build such a plant south of Phoenix 
They were very upbeat about it's possibilities.

A website has been established for citizens to receive up-to-date information on the event at http://www.deepwaterhorizonresponse.com .

The following is a link to the Florida State Emergency Operations Center: http://www.floridadisaster.org/eoc/Update/Home.asp . State officials are actively monitoring the Deepwater Horizon Response as well as providing precautionary tips for residents and visitors.
