2008 Sierra Club Picnic April 27 Mark your calendars! The Miami Group's Annual Sierra Club Picnic will be held at
A. D. Barnes Park on the afternoon of Sunday, April 27. Once again we have
reserved Shelter Number 2, the lake view shelter. Although the shelter rental
has become more expensive, we are holding the cost of advance sale tickets to
$7 for adults and $3 for children aged 5 to 14 years. Children under 5 are free. Tickets can be reserved at the March and April General Meetings or by calling Jim
Gross at 305-665-2401. Please make a note of the date and reserve your space
now. July 13 - Canoeing 101.Learn the basics of handling a canoe in a safe manner. Fundamental paddling (bow and stern) and
elementary rescue techniques taught in a one day short course.
Lunch is included. Leisure. Limit 16. Cost $20 member, $25 nonmembers.

evening under the full moon on Biscayne Bay, with the delights of
good company, delicious food, exquisite wine and a skyline view.
No special diets. Rain or shine. Leisure. Limit 18. Cost: $45
