Get Involved

Two great ways to get involved are to connect with the other activists in your area or to subscribe to a Sierra Club email list.

To find the group that includes your county, select the "my backyard" link above, or click here.

To subscribe to Sierra Club email lists follow the instructions below. The ones noted are Florida related. To widen your scope there is a link to all the lists sponsored by the Sierra Club nationwide. When you subscribe to a list you will receive all the email posted to the list and in many cases you will be allowed to post messages that all the other subscribers will receive. Most require you to be a Sierra Club member and a few have other restrictions.

The lists that pertain to Florida are:

• Florida Chapter Leaders list for Sierra Club activists to stay informed of the activities of FLEXCOM, the Florida Chapter Executive Committee. This one is a particular must for FLEXCOM Group representatives and for Group leaders.

• Florida Members Forum for Sierra Club leaders to hold discussions. The purpose of this list is for discussion among Sierra Club leaders in Florida of topics pertaining to the functioning of the Groups in the state and of the Florida Chapter itself.

• The Florida Chapter Conservation Forum for Sierra Club members. Open discussion of Florida conservation issues.

• The Tallahassee Report: This is a must for all Florida Sierrans who want to be kept informed of the doings of the politicians in Tallahassee. It is published by our own lobbyist, Suzie Caplowe.

• The Florida Outings List: This is a must for members interested in outings all over the state because it includes trips sponsored by all the Groups in the Chapter.
