April 11: Wednesday 8:30am to 11am. Deep Creek Preserve Nature Walk.
This is an easy walking pace, conducted by two certified Florida Master Naturalists, John Phillips and Jamie Reynolds.
They will help us identify the plants and animals of the preserve as we walk along. This outing is free to the public.

April 12: Thursday, 9 AM to noon.
Canoe Shell Creek with Rick Fried. Shell Creek is one of Charlotte County's prettiest waterways, with plenty of opportuinities to spot wildlife.
Bring your camera for this one! An added plus is our leader, Rick Fried.
Rick is a certified Florida Master Naturalist and knows every inch of this creek.
You'll be guided by the very best! Participants must provide their own watercraft and be able to swim.

April 15: Sunday 8:30am to 11am. Nature Walk in Footprints Park with two Master Naturalists.
Want to discover wild Florida in a safe, educational way? Master Naturalists Jamie Reynolds and John Phillips conduct
easy-paced nature walks in Footprints Park, near Punta Gorda. In fact, many of the trails you will be walking were
created by them. This outing is offered free to the public. Voluntary donations to the Sierra Club are always gratefully accepted.

April 19: Thursday 9am to 2pm. Kayak Lower Peace River and Lunch.
This is one of our most popular outings, so get your reservation in early. Rick Fried is a certified Master Naturalist
and he knows this section of the Peace River intimately. We will paddle past the old mine at Liverpool,
past bird rookeries, then on to Nav-a-gator restaurant where we will pause to have lunch together. We will return via an
alternative route back to our cars. Participants must provide their own water craft, be able to swim and have money to pay for lunch.
This outing is free to the public. Volunatary donations to the Sierra Clubn are always gratefully accepted.

April 21: Saturday 8:30am to 11am. Guided Nature Walk in Shell Creek Preserve.
Master Naturalists Jamie Reynolds and John Phillips will take us on an easy-paced walk, identifying the various plants and
animals of the Preserve. If you want to discover wild Florida in a safe, educational way, this outing is for you.

April 23: Monday 9AM to Noon.Kayak Myrtle Creek with Jim Story
This is a recently opened-up canoe/kayak outing and our guide, Jim Story, was instrumental in creating it.
We will launch at Charlotte Harbor, then proceed up Myrtle Creek into hardwood and cypress forests, then venture over to Shell Creek Dam
before returning home. It's a wonderful way to experience several florida ecosystems in one outing.
Participants must provide their own watercraft and be able to swim. This outing is open to the public.

May 5: SAT, 8:30 AM to 11 AM.
Guided Nature Walk with a Master Naturalist at Footprints Trail. Footprints Trail is a mixture of pine flatwoods and cypress ponds.
Our guide, John Phillips, helped cut the trails and create the outings program in this Charlotte County park.
The wildflowers are in abundance right now, and John will conduct an easy-paced exploratory, identifying and explaining
the ecology as we walk. Bring drinking water and a shady hat. Reserve with john, (941) 639-7468.
May 12: SAT, 8:30 AM to 11 AM.
Kayak Prairie Creek with Jamie Reynolds. Prairie Creek is in Charlotte County and may be a familiar kayak run you've heard about.
It's a charming creek hidden in hardwood and cypress forests, with plenty of shallow swimming spots for cooling off.
An added plus is Jamie Reynolds, our guide. She's a certified Florida Master Naturalist and she can identify and explain the plants
and wildlife of the creek if you ask her. Participants must provide their own watercraft and be able to swim. Reserve with Jamie, (941) 637-8284.
May 17: THURS, 8:30 AM to 11 AM.
Footsprint Park Nature Walk guided by a Master Naturalist. Want to experience Florida's wild areas in a safe and educational way?
This popular outing is for people who have a curiosity to learn more about the plants and wildlife of our state.
John Phillips will conduct an walking exploratory in one of Charlotte County's newest preserved areas, Footprints Park.

Kayak Charlotte County's Prairie Creek. This is one of our most popular canoe outings. Prairie Creek is a shady creek that
winds its way through hardwood and cypress tree forests. A certified Master Naturalist, Jamie Reynolds, will be our
guide down the creek and back. She is very knowledgeable about this creek and will answer your questions about the plants
and wildlife along its shore. Participants must provide their own watercraft and be able to swim. Reserve with Jamie, (941) 637-8284.
