Sail on a Tall Ship, March 2004

Come aboard mates! Step back into the age of sail when tall ships ruled the seas. What an adventure we had on the 85 foot, two-mast topsail schooner, Heritage of Miami II, plying the waters off Miami in Northern Biscayne Bay !

The Heritage of Miami II is designed after the 19th century cargo and passenger schooners that once sailed the waters off Miami, the Florida Keys and Gulf of Mexico. She is reminiscent of another time when the ocean was the chief means of transporting goods from port to port. The Heritage of Miami II operates under the US Flag and is fully US Coastguard inspected for safety.

The 2-hour tour captures the spirit and adventure of a century gone by. We saw conventional points of interest on both land and sea as we cruised northern Biscayne Bay, just offshore of the beautiful Miami skyline.
