Outing Annual Camporee at Fort Clinch State Park
When:
Nov 6, 2009
through Nov 8,
Friday 5:00pm - Sunday
Details:

Oct. 30 is the deadline to join our Camporee
Our annual Sierra Club Camporee outing is at the Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach. There will be camping, hiking, ranger-led walks, cycling, swimming, boating, fishing and other activities available. We plan on joining in on the Union Garrison Tour (where living historians recreate life at Fort Clinch during the Civil War) and the Candlelight Viewing of the fort.
We have a block of campsites reserved and you can camp both Friday and Saturday nights or just on Saturday night. Campsites are shared - a half site for one tent is $15 per night.
Bring all your own equipment, firewood, musical instruments (and voices and songs). Bring something extra to share for a Saturday night potluck.
Fort Clinch is a wonderful natural resource for all of us! Space is limited, so this outing is for Sierra members and guests only. Please get your reservations in early at Meetup or contact Karen by phone or email.
